“If you can change your perspective, you can change your life.”
Warm, engaging, and refreshingly down to earth, Sade Smith, M.S., is known for helping clients feel comfortable, understood, and supported from the very first session. Guided by her belief that “If you can change your perspective, you can change your life,” her style is compassionate, relatable, and practical, blending genuine empathy with real world strategies that help clients create meaningful change.
Sade works with individuals, couples, and families who are ready to move through life’s challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional resilience.
A Trusted, Compassionate Presence:
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Sade discovered early in life that people naturally trusted her with their stories. That gift for connection, combined with a deep commitment to helping others, led her to build a career centered on mental health, advocacy, and compassionate care during life’s most difficult seasons.
Clinical Experience & Areas of Focus:
Sade is a Master’s level counseling clinician with experience across behavioral health, foster care, assessment services, community mental health, and crisis intervention. She has supported children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, behavioral concerns, relationship challenges, substance use, intimacy related concerns, and major life transitions. With experience navigating complex systems of care, Sade brings both clinical depth and practical insight to her work. She has provided therapy, crisis support, advocacy, assessments, and case management across diverse treatment settings, giving her a strong understanding of the emotional, relational, and environmental factors that affect mental wellness.
An Inclusive, Judgment Free Space:
Clients value Sade for creating a therapeutic space that feels safe, affirming, and free of judgment. She works effectively with people from diverse cultural and relational backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals and couples, helping each client feel seen, heard, and empowered throughout the healing process.
Therapeutic Approach:
Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, person-centered, and results oriented. Sade believes therapy should offer more than emotional support, it should also provide practical tools that strengthen daily functioning, relationships, confidence, and resilience. She tailors evidence-based care to each client’s unique goals, drawing from CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based interventions, solution-focused therapy, and relationally focused care.
Additional Education & Commitment to Growth:
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Memphis and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Her faith, community involvement, and passion for helping others continue to inspire her work and commitment to meaningful long-term change. Whether clients are navigating emotional pain, relationship difficulties, burnout, life transitions, or personal growth, Sade is committed to helping them build insight, healing, stability, and lasting transformation.
